Ok, This is pissing me off and i'm not sure how to deal with it. So i'm asking my fellow CODers for some help.
Since i wont be going back to Alaska,to work for sometime i've been working from home, doing e-bay,C.L and what not. So i have a lot of time on my hands to smoke weed and play CSS two of my favorite things. Awesome right? NO!!!
And this is why. The best COD admins only play at night. for the past few days i've been hoping on #2 and i can't play for more than 20 mins without have to leave. So many TK's, flash crazy bastards, nades from all over, and the mic spaming is just not cool, like just now some kid hops on and it's Nig this and Nig that. i dont want to hear that shit or have players like that on the severs. I know i could I;Ps and post them, do demos, Bla,Bla,Bla but then there would be a list of 10 ip's a day and the forums would be a mess for all the fools asking hey why did i get banned?
Is there a better way to deal with all these fools?
Cuz #2 is no fun in the daytime!!!!!

compile a list and email directly to coroner at rippersplace email and this can be taken care of discreetly if necessary and at least show the console remarks if there is no time to get a demo and of course what server, approx. time so if they want to look back at logs they have an idea of when to look...N word I will give one chance if they say sorry but if they laugh at me or whatever they are banned because it is not tolerated but of course you can't tell what race a person is and so i've had a few that said oh that's cool I'm whatever but I tell them that regardless it's not allowed because we can't see you and none that i've encountered when stated like that disagree because almost everyone wants to be respected.

If you do post here...they come here and actually might read some of the other information in the forums to better themselves or laugh it off but the point of making them come here is to show we don't mess around but at the same time we are willing to give a second chance if they understand and admit what they did was wrong.

If the list is 10 a day and you keep filling up ban section it will also help the admins know when and how many people need to be corrected.

If I can't handle something...my goto guys are nov, coroner, payo, and jack. Sometimes i send out a group email so they all have the info or if one is available then i have a 25% chance of something being able to handles sooner than later.

The only way to fix anything as large as maintaining 3 servers 24/7 is to know WHEN there are problems...It would be nice to be able to cover all hours and perhaps someday that can be accomplished by how willing we are to all work together as a group to help each other and notify the proper people and go through the chain of command or straight to the top if necessary.

Being an admin is at least a part-time if not full time job and no one is wealthy enough to sit around every day of the year and do nothing but admin the servers so daytime is a tough shift and then they must find dedicated, quality people that they can TRUST. That does take time and if someone meets those qualifications then they have to find out if the have enough spare time to fill that role. So there is a lot involved and for those who are not admins like yourself it can be extremely frustrating when there is no one around.

So I really recommend email through rippersplace if nothing else to help you out. There are a certain few who have my # if they need something when I'm home just not at the computer and that has worked out extremely well. Maybe if you can build up that kind of rapport with an admin who would be willing to work things out like that then that could be beneficial. I don't mind being "on call" when I'm not working but we all have lives and can't police the forums all day so that's why we have ban section and we have email to take care of things when no one is available. We have a really good system in place. It's just a matter of utilizing the system.

PS forgot to mention....only a few admins can restrict flashes properly. From an admin perspective if the rest of us could restrict flashes without having full access to everything on the servers, it would help out tremendously. It's too bad the server couldn't at least be programmed with on/off for flashing for those who are given full access to everything on the server to help all of you out because our only options are then to kick/ban rather than just restrict flashes.

Payo needs the email so he can add the people manually to the banned_user.cfg files in each server.

As for flashes. Why restrict them? Kick the people abusing them and if it continues impose a temporary or permanent ban. There's no reason to limit the game for the good folks in order to control assholes that are disruptive.

OMG OMG OMG....demoing for me is so confusing IDK what to doooooooo and its hurting my brain and eyes....GOD why is this so techy for me!!!!!!!!! I agree with you 50cal, there are many people who act like douches and then when admins are around they behave. I just posted a ban request for someone lol.

ive got a question on the demo though.. is there a way to demo someone while youre playing? cause i tried it on someone but it was just me playing. I dont think we can spectate too.

you will have to demo when you die...copying console log info is usually best for real time stuff if you can't demo and then putting server, date, approx time so if admin has to look at official logs they have an idea where to find it at.

Unless the other admins know of what you are referring to, that is the only way i know of.
