Hey guys,

I haven't been on in awhile and just started playing last month. One of your guys, Torque, just banned me. No warning whatsoever. The situation started when the players and I were making fun of another player who couldn't stop the bomb. Torque's immediate response was, "Quit making fun of him. You know you were when you first started." So I responded, "wtf, What is your problem man" Then before I know it, I got banned. Has this what it boils down to now? You can't joke around or poke fun without the fear of being banned? I know there is a fine line but I don't think it was crossed as I have made quite a few friends on this clan. Please explain.

Did you read the server rules section regarding Harassment?

"***HARASSMENT***

A little healthy trash-talk is fine and appropriate to gaming, just as it is to almost any other sporting event. However, prolonged and unsolicited harassment may be grounds for removal. No player on a Cause of Death servers should have to feel unfairly targeted or attacked. In the event that a player feels the need to continually harass another gamer, they will be requested to cease immediately. If they continue, they may be removed."

We as admins try to maintain an friendly environment where everyone regardless of skill can enjoy the game. If we feel that a particular player is being disruptive to this environment, that player will be removed. Torque requested that you ease up on the harassment of a newbie and your response was a bit disrespectful and so you were removed. However, taking into account your history of playing on our servers and that this is your first offense I will speak to Torque about lifting your ban. In the meantime, please read the sticky on how to properly appeal a ban.

What I saw was that instead of joking about the shortcomings of a newbie you kept on insulting him by repeatedly calling him stupid. I’d like you to look at the servers name ‘Newbies’. We welcome everybody and that includes ‘newbies’!

For a more experienced player, like yourself, I would have hoped for more understanding and support for a new guy instead of bitching at him. Its not that he killed you or got in your way. I am sorry but I have no respect for your behavior.

Also, I must tell you that you have increasingly become annoying in the beginning of nearly every round by attacking your team mates. The other night you even started to shoot me in the back coming out of spawn.
Today, I tried to make you understand to respect your team mates but in return received a bad attitude.

I finally felt that you/we needed a break and gave you a temporarily ban for seven days. (Not Permanently)

You are still good for the other servers and if I should see you again in the games…no hard feelings on my part.

I will not bother jack to remove your ban so you will have to wait it out.

Krusty, this isn't you. I've known you for quite some time and NEVER have I seen you do any of the things mentioned here. There must be something going on that maybe you can address with me. It's always been a pleasure seeing you join the servers so when I saw this I was shocked.

After some careful thought, I've come to a conclusion that it was mostly my fault. Well deserved of this 7 day ban. Things could be worse. This is out of character for me and I apologize. I will be more cautious about poking fun of newbies. Sorry to have let anyone down. Let's move forward. These are the only servers I play on this game and the only game I play online. It's because of the CoD folks that's why I'm here. Have a good weekend everyone.
